David Mowat - Member of Parliament for Warrington South

David is married to Nicky and they live with their 4 children in Cheshire.

He studied Civil Engineering at Imperial College London, before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant. Subsequently he spent his career at Accenture, the Worldwide Technology and Consulting firm, where he was a Global Industry Managing Partner.

For the last two years David has been Chairman of Fairbridge, a Salford based charity devoted to improving the life chances of young people aged between 14 and 21.

Interests include playing chess and golf and watching his son play rugby, and his wife run marathons. David claims to be able to identify any Bob Dylan song within the first 5 seconds!

David believes that politics should be constructive and will support any sensible proposals, from whatever source, as long as they are for the benefit of Warrington and its people.

In terms of politics, David's over-riding belief is the need to re-kindle social mobility and the reward of hard work in the country.

David says;"I did not come from a privileged background, but I was given opportunities, and I am determined to ensure that today's young people and future generations should have the same opportunities that I had."
